What is a home inspection?
A home inspection is a non-invasive, visual examination designed to identify material defects within a single family home or condo building. A home inspection may include any combination of the mechanical, structural, electrical, plumbing, and essential components of the home.
The inspection is based on observation of the visible and apparent condition of the structure and its components on the date of the inspection, and is not a warranty or prediction of future conditions. Learn more.
Who needs a home inspection?
A home inspection gives the client an impartial, physical evaluation of the condition of the home and its components. A professional home inspection enables informed decision making when buying or selling a home. A home inspection identifies major defects, repairs, or system inadequacies before the purchase is complete. Buying and selling a home can be expensive; a home inspection helps save you from unexpected costs.
Why is radon testing important?
According to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, breathing air containing radon can increase your chances of developing lung cancer. Approximately 50% of the homes in Colorado have radon levels in excess of the EPA’s recommended limit. Learn more.
